Day 2 in Rome
As we were walking into the museum the security guard blew his whistle at many people who were sitting at the steps. I thought it was very funny, but you werent allowed to sit anywhere in the museum.
I love all the ceilings they have carved or made from tiles its really amazing.
We then set of for the Trevi fountain. This was a fun one to see as it is in quite a few movies. While sitting there the one I mainly thought of was Lizzie McGuire. However unlike Lizzie I didnt see Paolo at the fountain so sadly I didnt get to find my look a like popstar and get to perform with her in Rome. The fountain was actually pretty cool. They put so much effort and detail into everything they create. Everywhere in Rome there is so much amazing and detailed archetecture. I think thats one of the reasons I really liked Rome, no matter where you went there was something to look at or a random monument of some kind. These are a few I saw:
This is the Pantheon.
And this is the Spanish steps. It was crazy there and I guess its meant to be a romantic spot as people were selling roses. They were also selling head massagers, which I just couldnt resist.

First day in Rome
Today was a really good day. We got to Rome yesterday and used it pretty much to work out public transport and our accomodation. Were staying at a caravan park which reminds me of home. Then today we set off to see the colloseum.
This is one good photo I got of the colloseum with no one in it. It was crazy when we got there with tourists everywhere. We bought a ticket which let us skip the line, which was a very good idea as it was massive. The colloseum was really cool, it was really in tact, but you still had to know the history to imagine what everything was used for.
After the Colloseum we went for a walk to see anything nearby. This is one of many arhces we got to see that were amazing.
Compared to the trains in Melbourne, most of the ones in Rome are graffitied. Its actually pretty cool and this is just one I got a photo of.

Chios
We got to Chios a few days ago and it was exactly what I needed. I was starting to really miss home and get a bit stressed. I got to this island and straight away felt relaxed. It was so cruisy and really pretty. The water was that really nice deep bluey green and it was warm! We stayed at a nice hostel which had a kitchen. This was very exciting as we dont have a kitchen in Turkey and I have missed cooking. I dont think we even used it except to heat up leftovers, but it was nice having the option. We hired bikes one day for ony like 6 euro which was great and just rode around the island. We stopped every now and then for a swim and to have lunch. It was a lot of fun and much cooler than walking as we got a wind. When I was in Thailand last year we hired some motor bikes and at one stage my chain came of and I had to put it back on. Well guess what... Yep my chain came of here too. So I had to put it back on which was actually really hard as there was a thick guard over the chain, so I got really greasy hands and am still trying to get it off.
I found it cool that all the different suburbs of the island have different things that distinct them from each other. The one we were in was the brown brick district and had lots of brick walls along the roads etc. I really liked this as it gave each place a lot of character.
These are the brown bricks, pretty cool.
This was a place you could swim off, but it was quite close to the real ocean and a bit deep. We started swimming from closer in and than tried to get to it, but I was too scared as it was deep and lots of sea weed. I find it really strange that I am more scared of the ocean now compared to when I was younger. I saw these orange capsicums and like all orange things they made me laugh. I dont think we have these back home, guess they dont let them ripen as much or its a complete different kind.
Allthough this photo makes the pasta look pretty bad, I had to put it on here. This was some of the best pasta I have ever had and there was so much. We were very excited that we could take the rest home and that we had a microwave to re heat.On our way over Dara had said oh I hope we see Dolphins and we luckily saw them on our ferry back. One person in the middle of the ferry had said oh look and everyone swarmed to the side they were on. Not sure if the guy who saw them first even got a close look, next time he'll keep it to himself.

Cappadocia
Cappadocia was definitely one of my favourite places Ive been to so far. Pretty much it was a whole city made from houses in the mountains. Back in the day no-one could see these rock mountains until some priests went out to seek God and found them. They thought they were great so they made their home there. I got to see homes, churches, schools really everything. They were great cause they were cool in the really hot weather and they were hidden from enemies. Im very impressed with the people, cause in the beginning it would have just been lots of boulders, but they then chipped away at them to make them hollow and into homes. They were like cubbie houses but you climb up the wall into a tunnel. The tunnels always went up and were like a ladder to each level.
Some people still live in the cave homes around the city.
This was the roof of one of the churches and below somewhere is a painting of Jesus. Their were lots of different artwork in the churches.
This was one of the ones I climbed up. It was actually very hard and was pretty much rock climbing in bare feet as I needed the grip. Was a bit scary, but so glad I did it.
These are the mushroom ones.
Can you find me...
This is the cave hotel we stayed in. It was supposedly were one of the priests lived in as their was a moque next door.
And this is a pita pizza we had. Most of their pizzas a like this. A bit strange, but still good.
